Body skincare: 5 easy steps to glow all over

Body skincare: 5 easy steps to glow all over

The skin is the largest organ of the body, so when we say skincare, we’re not just talking about your face.

With the right body skincare routine, you’ll be sporting a healthy glow year round, and it’s easier to achieve than you think.

Step 1 - Cleanse

Wash away the day with the Activated Charcoal Cleansing Bar. Use daily in the shower.

While the hot water washes away your troubles, the activated charcoal absorbs the toxins on the surface layer of your skin, promoting glowing (but not shiny) skin, sending dirt and grime down the drain.

Meanwhile the second active ingredient, Lemon Myrtle, will work as an astringent and help tighten pores and reduce irritations. Plus its antibacterial properties will assist in the healing of wounds and acne.

Step 2 - Exfoliate

An all-over glow can’t be achieved without a good exfoliator - say hello to the Seaweed and Aloe Exfoliating Body Bar

This multi-tasking body bar utilises the rejuvenating and moisturising properties of the Aloe Vera, while simultaneously removing dead skin cells and deeply [but gently] cleansing your pores with the active Seaweed.

Seaweed is great for brightening the skin, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles AND has anti-inflammatory properties such as magnesium and zinc (show off!)

But Mother Nature knows best, which is why 100% of our ingredients are natural and hand-made in Australia - need we say more.

Step 3 - Treat

For that silky smooth feeling, our Rosalina Body Oil will do the trick. Use once daily after showering.

With its 98% organic ingredients list - including sunflower seed oil and native Australian Rosalina - this body oil provides long-lasting hydration all over your bod. Oh, and did we mention it’s lightweight, locks in moistures and delivers essential fatty acids to tone and firm?

Not only does this delicious oil work great before self-tanning products, but it reduces the appearance of stretch marks and improves the texture of your skin.

Step 4 - Sleep tight

When you sleep, your skin’s blood flow increases, collagen is rebuilt and damages from UV exposure throughout the day are repaired.

It’s recommended that healthy adults get between 7-9 hours of sleep each night. We wrote a blog all about it here: Top 10 tips and hacks for better sleep and glowing skin.

Highlighters will only keep you glowing for so long before a lack of sleep takes its toll.

Step 5 - Nourish yo’self

A balanced diet is the best way to achieve a natural, healthy and long-lasting glow.

Foods that are high in protein, healthy fats from fish and nuts and antioxidant-rich fruit and vegetables are a good baseline for a healthy, balanced diet ( always consult your doctor before making drastic changes to your diet).

Skincare is more than just what you’re putting ON your skin, it’s what you put IN too.
